Congratulations to The University of Sydney Union 4 for winning the Melbourne Law School Grand Final in a 5-2 split decision against The University of Queensland 2.
Thank you to everyone who attended the tournament. It was great to see smiling faces, full tummies, enthusiastic discussion of debate topics and some amazing moves on the dance floor over the course of the competition. Without your ongoing feedback, we would never had been able to run what was hopefully a great tournament. To those of you who came up to thank the Org Comm, the pleasure was ours. We hope that you really enjoyed yourselves!
Our most immense gratitude to everyone who made this tournament possible. Having Michael Ciesielski, now most probably Australia's (or Australasia's) best tab director, on board meant that we could run an accurate tab as efficiently as possible. A huge shout out goes to Seamus Coleman, Lauren Humphrey and Tim Mooney for creating innovative and exciting topics for you all to debate. Finally, thanks to all of our sponsors for allowing us to provide you with the best possible tournament.
You're surely itching to know how you went over the tournament. For a full list of team and speaker results as well as topics from all rounds, visit muds.whypsloven.net/easters10/.
Tournaments of this size could never occur without the generous support of our sponsors. We hope that you appreciate their donations as much as we do. Many thanks to our gold sponsor, the University of Melbourne, without whom the tournament could exist. The two most memorable events of the tournament, being the Championship Dinner and Grand Final are being supported by our silver sponsors, Mallesons Stephen Jacques and Melbourne Law School, respectively. We thank them for allowing us to bring these events to you. We would also like to extend our gratitude to our many other sponsors, including Quarterly Essay, Teach for Australia and University of Melbourne Student Union. For more information, please see our Sponsorship page.
These are the people who have been fielding important emails, phone calls and having meetings for the past two years in order to bring you what will hopefully be the best Easters yet.
General questions or queries about the tournament can be directed to easters2010@mudsonline.net, or you can call Duncan Campbell on 0410 998 006 or Daniel McNamara on 0402 775 735.

Seamus Coleman, debating extraordinaire, hails from The University of Melbourne and will be this year's Chief Adjudicator. He has prolifically accumulated tournament wins, best speaker prizes and IV finals, as well as plenty of experience adjudicating including previous Easters Grand Finals. To add to his accolades, he is also a former MUDS President.
Joining Seamus in the Adjudication Core, we have Tim Mooney from the University of Sydney and Lauren Humphrey from the University of Queensland. Both highly esteemed adjudicators, they have been involved in numerous tournaments with many victories, finals and speaker prizes to their names. We are proud to have such an excellent team in charge of Adjudication this year.
